Procter & Gamble’s Benelux Country Leader & Belux Sales Director

Caroline Thomaes is Procter & Gamble’s Benelux Country Leader of and Sales Director FMCG for Belgium and Luxembourg.

Ms. Thomaes has a rich background in sales and marketing, including more than twenty years in FMCG at Procter & Gamble. She started her career at Procter & Gamble as a regional account manager and quickly moved to management positions for a range of P&G-divisions in Belgium and abroad.

From 2004 to 2006, she was head of the Global Fine Fragrance design team in Geneva, where she was responsible for the strategic planning and commercial execution of seven Fine Flagrance brands worldwide, including Gucci, Lacoste and Dolce & Gabbana. After a brief stint as Belux country manager for the Prestige division in Belgium, Caroline worked in New York between 2009 and 2011 on the integration of the newly acquired beauty and prestige brands with Procter & Gamble and their subsequent commercial development, in North America and then worldwide.

In 2012 Thomaes returned to Belgium to take up a series of executive positions, including developing emerging channels in France and the Benelux. In 2015 she was appointed as Sales Director FMCG for Belgium and Luxembourg, a position she continues to hold, in combination with her most recent role as Benelux Country Leader.
