Mark de Smedt has served as the Regional Head of Northern Europe for the world’s leading HR solutions partner, the Adecco Group, since January 2016. Before joining the staffing industry, Mark held executive positions at Wang, Apple, Citibank and Scoot in France, Spain and Belgium. He is the founder of professional staffing specialist XPE Group, which was acquired by the Adecco Group in 2009. Born in Belgium in 1961, Mark has a degree in Commercial Engineering from the Free University of Brussels, alongside MBA training from Chicago, Harvard, INSEAD and the London Business School.
