JUMP’s Second Survey on the State of Sexism
The main obstacle to real equality between women and men is sexism — an ideology based on the assumption that women are inferior to men. In 2016, we collected the experiences of 3,294 women. The results were staggering and led us to create numerous free tools to combat this form of discrimination, which underpins all other inequalities, as well as training programmes delivered in companies, institutions, schools and universities.
In 9 years, society has changed. The #MeToo movement has profoundly shifted how sexism is perceived. This new survey, focused on sexist and sexual violence during studies and in the workplace, allows us to measure this shift and to propose solutions for companies, along with political and legislative recommendations. A total of 5,214 people responded, including nearly 1,000 men through a dedicated questionnaire.
